Mrs. Teresa O. Prescott founded Prescott Legal in 2017 with the goal to introduce a new approach to the practice of Family Law. She set out to create a new model built on a modern, transparent, and compassionate method of practice.
Prescott attended Stetson University College of Law where she was recognized as an Oral Argument winner. As a student, Mrs. Prescott served as an associate in the Center for Excellence, where she was one of four students selected to complete a Fellowship in Higher Education Law and Policy.
Throughout her fellowship, Mrs. Prescott dedicated herself to the interdisciplinary study of federal and state policy, with an emphasis in Title IX and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
Mrs. Prescott joined a boutique firm in early 2015. While there, she focused primarily on Divorce Law, Cohabitation, Special Needs Children, High-Conflict, Emotionally-Sensitive Family Law issues, trial advocacy, and appeals. In 2017 Prescott left to open her own legal practice built on a new approach to practicing Family Law. Ms. Prescott continues to focus on high-conflict divorce, cohabitation, and custody disputes, specializing in parental alienation, pathogenic parenting syndrome and borderline/narcissistic personality disorders.
Mrs. Prescott believes that education is a vital part of the community, and maintains her close connections with Stetson Law, where she serves as an adjunct co-teaching a skills course. During her off time, Mrs. Prescott tutors children in local schools throughout Hernando, Pasco, and Hillsborough County. By working with the community to promote and improve education, Mrs. Prescott takes great pride in the fact that she is able to give back to the education system that gave her so much.
