Ms. Fuentes received her Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida, and also holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Being a first generation American, and fluent in Spanish, Fuentes strives to maintain her cultural connectivity, and as subsequent, pursued a Certificate in Immigration Law from the University of Georgia.
Since graduating, Catherine has worked as a legal assistant in criminal, bankruptcy, insurance defense, landlord/tenant and civil litigation. She believes in client-centered practices, and in 2014, after working in less synergistic branches, she found her place in family law.
Amongst other tasks, Catherine is responsible for drafting pleadings, summonses and subpoenas, as well as the preparation and filing of discovery requests. She communicates directly with the judicial assistants to schedule hearings and depositions, and works alongside Ms. Prescott, generating case status reports, mediation outlines, and trial binders. Catherine also maintains a close relationship with our clients, and ensures that they remain informed, confident and comfortable.
With so many family law cases, it can be easy to forget the emotional tragedy going on behind the scenes, but Catherine prides herself on making a positive impact in the lives of our clients. She is uniquely able to maintain an emotional keel and works hard to serve our clients as a trusted medium.
Outside of work, Catherine leads an active lifestyle, and enjoys running, reading and cooking. Catherine is currently pursuing her Juris Doctorate and is a first year law student.
